A few years ago, while on holiday in Weymouth, we had the most amazing brunch that I have remembered ever since. Imagine my excitement then when I realised that this amazing brunch was actually available to me just up the road from where I live in Newbury! It turns out the lounge I loved in Weymouth is part of a chain of Lounges and one of them, the Cobrizo Lounge, is in Newbury’s town centre.
Just like the Weymouth location, Cobrizo Lounge is a funky, relaxed space that’s enjoyable to be in with kids. In Newbury there are inside and outside tables and the décor is brilliant, there is something interesting to look at in every corner! Cobrizo lounge is one of those places that I feel like its genuinely possibly to a relax a bit with the children, and they provide board games and colouring to keep them entertained too.
And now for the all important information – the food! What I loved about the menu at all the Lounges in this chain is the range of different options available for brunch. On our visit to Cobrizo lounge I tried Shakshuka with added chorizo. On a previous visit I had the Miami Brunch which comes with sweetcorn fritters, eggs and feta topped veggies.
There are also lots of great options for kids, and my son tucked into a traditional English breakfast. There’s also lots of options for drinks with teas, coffees, smoothies and my absolute favourite, cherry juice!
The lunch menu also looks lovely with tapas, salad bowls, burgers and flatbreads. They also do a range of cocktails if you are heading here with friends or on date night. There are deserts and a range of cakes available too, so there are so many different options that you can pop by for.
We loved our visit to Cobrizo and it definitely won’t be our last. And as The Lounges have locations all over the UK, you’re likely to find one wherever you are!
