With lockdown easing, the May / June half term is set to be an exciting one with lots of places to visits and events.  Here’s the Red Kite Days guide to what’s on for kids in Berkshire and some great ideas for days out.  From Maidenhead to Bracknell and Reading to Newubry, we’ve got it covered!

Blending a range of both virtual and live in person events, Norden Farm never fails to bring a great selection of activities to keep children occupied over the school holidays.  This May half term they have another great line up.

All Week Half Term

  • Mountain Goat Mountain from Norden Farm
  • Flix Drive In & Sit Out cinema (Reading)
  • Half day camps at The Little Gym (Windsor) A combination of magical themes, gymnastics, games, crafts, and fun with playful, engaged teachers for children 3-12 years.
  • Outdoor Explorers at Wellington Country Park (nr Reading) with Zoolab Animal Encounters, make a bird feeder with the Pop Up Play Village, talks at the Animal Farm and much more!
  • Half Term arts & crafts activities at Crocus at Dorney Court.  No pre booking required (Dorney)
  • Roves Farm will have a full programme of activities this half term including music time, meet the animals, wash the tractor and more.
  • May half term activities at Beale Wildlife Park  (Lower Basildon near Pangbourne)
  • Half term superheroes at The Lexicon (Bracknell)

Saturday 29th May

  • On Demand craft kits from Norden Farm (Maidenhead)  Purchase your craft kits, collect from the Cafe Bar, then tune into the on demand video to get creative!

Sunday 30th May

  • Creative Mindfulness drop & go sessions for ages 6 to 12 years. Explore mindful and creative activities including yoga, breathing exercises, sensory games, making art for self expression and connection, mindful eating at snack time, storytelling and relaxation techniques. (Aldermaston)
  • Master Builders Club Harry Potter Theme brick building workshop (Sonning Common)

  • Playball holiday activities (Ascot) for 2 year olds or drop and go mini session for 3-8s.  Super fun multi-sport games and skills, including a treasure hunt at the end.

  • Master Builders Club Harry Potter Theme brick building workshop (Sonning Common)

  • Concertini at Norden Farm (Maidenhead) A toe-tapping 45 minutes of American Bluegrass with a distinctly British twist. This concert is all about inspiring children and their grown-ups with live music in a relaxed and friendly environment.
