Blossom Fields, situated in the Wash Common area of Newbury, has everything you need from a playpark. There’s equipment for kids of all ages, plus a great set up for kids to practice their sports. In this area you’ll also find Wash Common Rec, a large open expanse of grass, perfect for running around or stopping for a picnic.
The Play Parks
There are two play parks within the Blossom Fields Play area, once for younger children and once for the bigger kids. Within the younger kids area you will find a wide range of equipment including climbing structures, swings, roundabouts, balance beams and much more. There is even a dinosaur to climb!
The bigger kids play area includes a huge rope swing, trampoline, tyre swing, mini rope course and a huge climbing frame. If you have kids of different ages in the family, then this would be an ideal play park to head to as there is so much for all different ages to do.
The Games Area
Along with the play parks there is also a sports area to enjoy. The park has football goals and a basketball court plus a table tennis table, so do bring down any equipment you might have to make use of those. There is also a trim trail if you want to have a bit of a workout while the kids are running around, alternatively there are also lots of benches to have a sit down!
Meadow Area and Surrounds
Next to the play areas there is also a meadow area with some saplings growing. The grass is long here so would be great for bug hunting. If you wander through the trees, you will also find Wash Common Recreation Ground which is a wide, open space of grass, perfect for a run round with the kids (and dogs if you have them!) and there are also lots of benches too.
There is a small free car park on site plus plenty of on-road parking in the area.
