Crewe Green Sunflower Field Review
This is a lovely little farm in Crewe Green opened up for summer with its Sunflower field. It is reaching the end of their Sunflower season due to the crop being ready early this year. So some of their flowers are loosing their petals. But they are still open for sunflower picking with an honesty box at the entrance of the field.
We went on an adventure to try and seek and find the best ones which my girls enjoyed more than just being able to pick all of them. Going a bit off the path and into the crop armed with a pair of secateurs was so much fun.
Their sunflowers may be coming to an end but they have some more events coming up. In a couple of weeks they will be doing pick your own sweetcorn This would be really interesting as I’ve seen seen that before. Towards October they will also have a small Pumpkin patch to visit.
Crewe Green are doing things a little different to other sunflower fields. At just £10 per car to visit its a great priced adventure if you have 4/5 people in your vehicle. Included in your entry is the option to pick your very own sunflowers to take home. Your allowed 8 stems. And you can purchase more too.
At other places these are between £1-2 each. So this makes your entry only really £2 at Crewe Green.
Crewe Green also have some nice little extras to make your visit special and fun. They have a sandpit, swings, some ride on cars and archery for younger visitors and the option to buy an icecream or cold drink.
