Hemel soft play that is clean, bright and fun!
This afternoon I wanted to surprise Freddie after pre school with a soft play visit!
We wanted to try somewhere new so we travelled to Hemel Hempstead to try out DJ’s Play Park.
For us it was definitely worth the journey out, it’s a huge open space (with fantastic air con) and different sections spread around the room. In the centre is a lovely cafe with a selection of hot and cold food and drink, snacks and fresh cakes. There is also tons of seating including tables and chairs and comfy sofas!
The soft play itself is great fun! There is lots to do including:
Under 2s area with a lovely sensory tent, slides and smaller climbing frames
A blacked out tent with games playing out on the floor which both boys loved but Freddie really got the hang of.
Under 4s area with little tikes cars, a climbing and playing area and slides
Larger climbing frame for over 4s (although Parker absolutely loved this too! There were 4 slides to choose from, climbing areas, and a huge area filled with balls that you fed into tubes to fall out of the top back onto you!
Basketball area
Laser tag area that is for parties and a go kart track that wasn’t open when we first arrived but just look at the smile when it did!
The highlight for my two (other than as always, the slides) was the role play area. There was a cute little area with a track, wooden fire truck complete with a fire pole to climb down, 5 little role play shops/schools etc and a soft area filled with big bricks for building!
Overall this was clean, spacious and super fun soft play and we will definitely be making the drive out to Hemel again!
Food and Drink
I think the food and drink range is really good and is also good value. There are lots of homemade options and a huge selection of drinks. The usual lunchbox options are available too so you don’t have to worry about there being something to eat or drink. There is also a microwave and hot water supply for heating baby food and bottles.
Accessibility and SEN
DJs is accessed by stairs or via a lift and has wide gates and spaces for access with buggy and wheelchairs. There are toilets which all have changing areas and wide doorways with turning space. There is also an accessible toilet.
