Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at Mary Hare School
15 February, 2025 - 20 February, 2025
Following their success with Disney’s Little Mermaid at the Corn Exchange, step into a Tale as Old as Time as Kate Izzard Productions bring another Disney classic to life live on stage at on the site of Mary Hare School in Snelsmore Common near Newbury. Get up close to your favourite characters in this immersive retelling, the perfect family Feb half term in Newbury experience.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and find another’s love in return, the spell will be broken and he will become human again. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated movie, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Alan Menken and Tim Rice.
Kate Izzard Productions unique reimagining of the musical invites audiences to step first hand into the Belle’s enchanted world. Once you decide to “Be Our Guest” and join us in the Beast’s castle, you’ll find yourself right in the middle of the action, which takes place throughout the theatre space rather than on a single stage.
You can even join them before the show for special VIP experience hosted by your favourite household friends (in partnership with Jollypop Entertainment). Add some extra sparkle to your visit and be our guest at our magical VIP pre show experience, served by your favourite household objects. Make sure to try the Grey Stuff. Its delicious!
Please note that performances on Sunday 16th and Monday 17th (evening) will be relaxed performances.
