If you fancy some fun family entertainment, award-winning Reading theatre group The Sainsbury Singers have just the thing! Their fun-filled production of ‘Kipps – the new Half a Sixpence Musical‘ tells the story of happy-go-lucky Arthur Kipps, a shop apprentice in 1900’s seaside Folkestone, who inherits a fortune and finds himself moving in new social circles, falling in love with both the upper-class Helen and his childhood sweetheart Ann. This spectacular musical features almost 40 people on stage, a live band of 12 musicians, and is jam-packed with energetic, toe-tapping musical numbers including Flash, Bang, Wallop!, Half a Sixpence, If The Rain’s Got to Fall and Pick Out a Simple Tune .
