Godstone Farm

After hearing so many of our friends and family talking about Godstone Farm, we of course had to check it out. I don’t know why it took me so long to visit because we had an incredible time, and the children are already asking to go back again.

It is a brilliant day out for all the family, and it’s not only a farm – there is so many hidden extras here aswell. From the indoor soft play, to the huge adventure playground with sand pits, zip wires, slides and climbing walls for older kids, as well as tractor rides.

A dinosaur trail, ride-ons and more for the younger ones to explore. With the added bonus of lots of cute and cuddly (or scaly) animals too.

We decided to firstly walk around the animals, and had great fun spotting the different species and reading the fact files all about them too. A highlight for us was being able to feed the pigs (most of the places we have visited we’ve never seen pigs, they have always been asleep or out in the sty’s away from sight) However the pigs here were wide awake, hungry and very vocal to. I was surprised just how big the pigs were, and it was great seeing the children’s faces light up at feeding them and hearing them squeal.

The animal interaction barn was a buzz of excitement, Isabella loved guinea pig fishing (a new concept to me) where she had great fun dangling the fishing rod and feeding the guineas their vegetables. Noah had great fun feeding the horses and donkeys some hay, and enjoyed stroking them.

Noah was absolutely buzzing to enter the reptile house, he was so excited that he didn’t know where to look first. They had various tables open where you were able to stroke some of the reptiles which included a bearded dragon and a tortoise, they also had an iguana out (but they were sunbathing out of sight) Noah conquered his fears and even stroked a snake too. Isabella on the other hand isn’t phased by anything. She headed straight to the cockroaches and asked to hold one, she stood and stroke this little cockroach whilst the lady told her all about it.

Throughout the day there are also various arts and craft activities which you can take part in for free. Noah loved making a bird plane and had great fun running around and watching his plane fly through the air. Isabella loves colouring and she enjoyed making a pig in the sty pencil.

Did you know that the biggest softplay in Surrey is based here at Godstone Farm. Spread over 4 floors and an impressive 7 slides, a separate area for babies, and a further area for toddlers too. If that’s not enough to occupy the children then there is a whole floor dedicated to role play too.

Whether the children would like to be a camper, work in the bakery or supermarket, try their hands at being a vet or a mechanic. Or maybe the theatre life is for them, and they can dance their heart out on the stage.

The Adventure playground is epic, there is honestly so much to explore here – you could actually spend the day just in the playground itself. There is an impressive wooden climbing frame with slides, sand pits, climbing walls, zip lines, swings, construction area and an obstacle course.

Noah and Isabella loved the toboggans, they were so excited to run to the top of the hill and whizz back down at the speed of sound.

We had a fantastic day at Godstone Farm. There is so much to see and do and even after spending the day there, we still didn’t get round to seeing everything.

We loved that there was a good mix of farm activities available and a huge variety of animals to see.

Throughout the year Godstone Farm put on special events such as firework displays and a Santas Grotto and Christmas experience too – so will be visiting back soon to check them out too.
