The Leys Recreation Ground in Witney is a fantastic park with lots for all the family to enjoy.
As well as the lovely open grassy space where you can picnic, fly a kite or kick around a ball, there is also a playground, mini golf, skate park and more in development.
The Leys Splash Park & Adventure Area
With a high sided fence so you’re kids don’t wander off, the playground itself is quite large but not packed with attractions. Perfect for older kids, is the impressive, huge and breath taking climbing frame. My eldest scaled it in seconds and I’m glad I didn’t have to climb up to get him.
You’ll find swings including a cute side by side twin toddler swin and slides to mini wooden houses and a see saw.
Reopened in 2025, there’s a brand new Witney splash park with a bright rainbow design and lots of great water jets to cool off on a hot day.

Witney Skate Park
New for 2024 is the skate park with multiple ramps and routes. When we visited there were all ages from toddlers on scooters to teens on skateboards and the odd bike. It was pretty busy but the kids were great at waiting their turn and the teens very polite.
Other Activities at The Leys, Witney
There are also tennis courts, crazy golf and more currently in development.
If you need a refreshment you can grab coffee, iced tea and coffee, smoothies, snacks, ice creams, hot baps, and paninis from The Coffee Shed.
