Studley Grange is a gem of a find. Just off the M4 you will find a garden centre, butterfly world, farm park, soft play, restaurant, and independent shops all in one place!
I take George to Studley Grange regularly for all of the different activities it offers, come rain or shine. We start off by a walk through the garden centre area to the butterfly world. The garden centre has a whole host of gardening equipment and indoor and outdoor plants. If you are green fingered like me you will love it! It also has on offer some really lovely garden furniture and structures. It also has a toy area, hard to drag George away from!
The butterfly world is just beautiful. The butterflies fly all around you while they feed on beautiful flowers. There is a large pond in the middle with koi carp you can feed. There is also an iguana, tortoises, and terrapins.
George loves the butterflies, last time we were here one landed on his hand, he was fascinated with it. There are chrysalises on display as well; a great opportunity to learn the butterfly life cycle.
Through the butterfly world there is a large aviary section with lots of different birds, including budgies, cockatoos, and exotic birds. There is also a reptile house with a large number of snakes and lizards and a tarantula.
Then there is the zoo area and farm park. There are otters, meerkats, a raccoon, wallabies, owls, peafowl, ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, lambs, and donkeys.
At different times of the year they have different events on the farm, such as feed the lambs and tractor rides.
Back inside George goes to the soft play area. There is a huge frame with lots of different areas. This includes a ball pit, with ball cannons, tunnels, rope bridge, slides, zip lines, a football/basket ball area, and dens.
There is also a separate baby area, and some open play equipment too. This soft play has air-conditioning so will definitely be on my list for the summer months!
The restaurant area is massive, selling a huge variety of food, hot and cold, and children picnic boxes. They also do cakes and sweet treats and hot and cold drinks.
In the garden centre there is an indoor courtyard area with lots of little independent shops around the outside.
